Senior Nurse: Nuneaton

We are currently looking to recruit x3 Charge Nurses for our Nuneaton Service. 

The Senior Staff Nurse needs to be a great communicator and team player, the role will plan, implement and supervise care within the designated areas of responsibility.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SENIOR NURSE ROLE:

- NMC registration with minimum 2 years experience

- Enhanced DBS check

- Completed or working towards mentorship qualification

- Completed or working towards additional clinical skills

- Knowledge of relevant national policies and guidelines

- Understanding around the purpose of auditing and clinical governance

- Understanding of the process of promoting best practice and contributing to multi-disciplinary team working

- Ability to evaluate clinical practice

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR NURSE ROLE:

- Take responsibility for, and effectively participate in the day to day running of the hospital

- Supervise and guide junior nurses

- Undertake clinical audits

- Ensure practice is carried out in line with most recent guidance

- Manage Stock Control

Charge Nurse: Nuneaton

An exciting new opportunity to become part of a brand-new team and open a brand new mental health rehabilitation service for people aged 16-25 has arisen in the West  Midlands and we are looking to recruit x3 Charge Nurses within Vestige Nuneaton. 

Vestige Healthcare is a brand-new healthcare provider placing patients and innovation at the forefront of its objectives. The hospital will aim to achieve either 'good’ or 'outstanding’ ratings from the Care Quality Commission from its inception. This company will strive for job satisfaction, offering continued training for staff along with excellent opportunities for career progression.

Duties

· Lead and coordinate shifts

· Manage junior nursing team and support workers

· Provide leadership and guidance

· Prepare staffing rota

· Managing skill mix

· Provide ongoing clinical supervision

· Meet with external commissioners and stakeholders

· Ensure regulatory compliance with health and Social Care Act, Mental health Act and mental Capacity Act

· Ensure practice is carried out in line with the most recent guidance

· Support the hospital Director in managing budgets for the service

· Deputise for the Hospital Director in their absence.

· Provide on-call cover on a rota basis

The Candidate

· Registered Nurse

· Post registration qualification

· Registered Nurse with experience of working in the relevant field for which they are applying

· Leadership and management qualification or working towards one

· Hold an NMC 'approved sign off' Mentorship qualification

· Ability to lead team and work effectively with others

· Demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently, able to problem solve and prioritise own and others work

· Demonstrates planning and organisational skills

· Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility dependent upon work priorities

· Knowledge of relevant national polices and guidelines

· Understanding around the purpose of auditing and clinical governance

· Understanding of the process of promoting best practice and contributing to multi- disciplinary team working.

Skills Assistant: West Bromwich

Duties

To maintain a high standard of personal care for each patient under the direction of the Mental Health Practitioners and Senior Skills Mentors

To be responsible for ensuring that patient privacy, dignity and respect is maintained at all times

  • Ensure within the clinical ethos of the unit the highest standard of care for each individual patient
  • Ensure personal behaviour provides a positive role model from which patients can learn
  • Meet the daily physical needs of each patient for example; their hygiene, dietary and self-help needs
  • Ensure a safe environment is maintained for patients and colleagues
  • Keep appropriate records as directed by the senior members of the team
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and to develop a positive rapport with the patients
  • Participate in and ensure the smooth delivery of the behavioural support programme
  • Have an active role in skills acquisition and support as identified by the Service Director
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of all assessment and treatment programmes within the unit
  • Actively participate in the daily activities and educational programme
  • Implement support plans which will enable the patients to become more competent in a variety of skills, and to gain qualifications in key areas of functional skills and independent living.
  • Be actively involved and encourage leisure and recreational activities during evenings and weekends

The Candidate

  • A compassionate and hard working individual who has a genuine interest in working within our fantastic hospitals.
  • Is looking to be physically involved in the proactive care of the residents and to meet all new residents’ individual needs as delegated by the Registered Nurses
  • Is a great communicator and team player.
  • Skilled in delivering educational and daily living activities and supporting with ongoing development of skills for our patients
  • Experience in an educational environment is desirable though not essential
  • Preferred experience in a mental health environment
