Our Units

We provide a service for individuals with complex mental health needs, which is inclusive ensuring all enquiries and referrals are assessed on a case by case basis and wherever possible the service is flexible in meeting the needs of a diverse population.

  • 18 - 65 years old
  • Male and Female; including Transgender and Non-Binary individuals
  • Formal primary diagnosis of a DSM-IV mental health disorder who have complex needs that cannot be safely managed within independent, less intensive mental health services
  • Presenting behaviours that can be experienced as challenging including absconsion, self-harm and history of suicidality
  • Concurrent diagnosis of Autism and/or mild learning disabilities
  • Forensic history
  • History of drug and alcohol abuse
  • Long term difficulties linked to past trauma and attachment or personality disorder
  • Difficulty managing emotions relationships
  • Requiring a ligature free environment with the facility for enhanced observation
  • Readiness to step down from secure care
  • Requiring a crisis admission
